Nolan told Eyewitness News, "When the accident happened, and I realized it? I never in my life would have dreamed. That is just the worstest thing in the world. I was so scared."

lol sorry, but they are great for laughs

"The customer is always right."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, mayo isn't an option"
"blah blah blah, shriek shriek shriek )#%&^@ mayo on my cheeseburger"

Wrong way to deal with the situation: try to appease an irate customer ("the customer is always right" policy)

Correct way to deal with the an obnoxious customer: "Ma'am, I'm sorry. You aren't getting mayo on your cheeseburger. If you can't deal with that and want to be irate, take your business elsewhere. We don't need customers like you." Then, close the drive thru window, flip the bird at her (to make yourself feel better), and start writing the note to display to her if she continues to yell at the drive-thru window: "Police are on their way for disorderly conduct. Leave now. We *WILL* press charges."

That's why Ctrain is quitting McDonalds! Poor guy.....

Hehe....Its one of the most thankless job I've had.

Actually I had mace sprayed directly in my eyes before.
It was long ago(over a year ago).
This was late night and 2 gays guys got to the 2nd window and was complaining about the food.

So we went back and forth and I decided to refund them the money.
Then they wanted the office number, I told them no.(what can I say, I was already pissed that they held up the lane).
So they decided not to move forward....I said fine if you want to play that game.
So I started bringing the food outside to all the cars behind them.
KNowing that they are not holding up the line, 1 guy went inside looking for the number.
He couldn't find it so he got mad and took a bunch of coupon books and threw them over the counter and ran out.

So I fill up a soda cup and as I was going pour it all over their car, the driver rolled down the window and before I knew it I was on my knees in tears.
Yeah, it was so sudden I didn't know what hit me until I realized it was mace.

I don't know if any of you know what mace in your eyes are like but man I was in pain, tears for like 20 mins until the fire department came.
They told me the only way it will go away is if I open my eyes and let the air in.
They were right....it slowly went away as I tried real hard to keep my eyes open.

I gotta say that was one of the worst pain I've ever felt.
I know a couple of guys in our company who got a gun pointed at them before but I surely will not be experiencing that in the future.

Damn I was wondering when you were going to respond! 🙂 😉 😀

But that really sucks though. I've never had mace in my eyes and don't really intend on it. Glad that you found/are getting a better job.

That is the craziest story I've ever heard. It's a shame some people have to take their grief out on store employees, CSRs, cashiers, etc...

I saw a lady chuck a bag full of burgers over the counter and curse at a Wendy's manager...she stalked out after that, without her burgers, and out $10 or so.

You handled that terribly. Refusing to give them the store number? Letting them to block the line? Tell me you called the police, before you went outside to start giving people their orders.

Were you store manager at the time?

Complaining is probably a mild understatement. I worked drive thru at a McDonald's once for a month or so. The worst I ever did was being incredibly sarcastic back on the headset to the other McD's employees. The manager had on a set one time and caught me, he said that he didn't care as long as the customer didn't hear me.
