Woman on subway with hairy legs..

I was on the subway today and I saw a woman wearing a skirt that was knee length. Her legs looked like they have not seen a razer in years! Now, I normally would not care that she is breaking society's norms, but she was in buisness clothing probably going to work. (subway was this morning at 8 am) I wonder what her co-workers think. They are probably too embarrassed to let her know. Does anyone know why a person would be so blatant?

Also does anybody know someone that does this at your work?

this was not leg stubble, this was like hair up to 1 inch long all over her legs. Are you implying that she doesnt walk around at work?

yes, I am implying that. From what I understand it takes a good 15-20 mintues for a person to shave their legs properly. Why would somone bother with it if no one is going to be looking at their legs anyways.

Because she doesn't feel like shaving her legs?

She was on a NYC subway in Manhatten.. more signs point to her having to walk outside and at least a few blocks. Plus, this was so obvious that even if she went to the bathroom or water cooler and someone glanced at her they would definatly notice..

Although I think it is an unfair standard, and obviously a cultural one that not all people share... I have to agree that hairy women are kind of freaky. I'm grateful I don't have to shave my legs or anywhere but my underarms or bikini area.

I too was in a similar awkward situation as you. Shopping at our local Target here in Queens and I saw this Spanish/ Hispanic lady with a 5 o'clock shadow.
Coincidentally we were in the shaving cream, soap section.

I have seen a number of women with a lot of facial hair. I guess if they are happy I should just work on trying to be less biased. One thing I hate is pictures of models where the light highlights huge patches of peach fuzz and makes it look like their face or arms are covered with hair. I guess I have some sort of female body hair phobia.

Well facial hair is caused by the male hormone, testostrone(sp), seeing a woman with facial hair, armpit hair, chest hair, turns me off.
