Woman makes bomb threat to keep boss from missing a flight

A South Florida woman has been charged with calling in a bomb threat to keep her boss from missing a flight. An arrest report said a 31-year-old woman was charged Thursday with making a false report of planting a bomb.

Miami International Airport officials received a call and an e-mail Wednesday claiming that a bomb was on an American Airlines plane. Police searched the specified aircraft but didn't find a bomb.

Investigators tracked the e-mail to the woman's computer.

During questioning, the woman reportedly told police that her boss had been booked on the flight to Honduras, but she had caused him to be late for the flight. She thought the bomb threat would give her boss time to make it.

The woman was being held on $7,500 bail.

At my college there were repeat bomb threats in a few buildings last year. Turns out that the bomb threats coincided with the exam and quiz schedules of two classes. A short cross referencing of names and they figured out only one guy is in both classes.

My first year in high school was in the Ontario goverment complex - huge building, as the real school was being built. Someone decided to call a bomb threat in middle of January when it's -40 outside. We were out there for over an hour. I specificly felt sorry for the people that were in the middle of gym class standing in blowing snow wearing only shorts and tshirts. You can bet nobody was too impressed with this hoax lol. At least do it on a nice day.

Then there's the time the cafeteria ladies burnt a bagel and caused a whole section of the building to be evacuated. Safety first at an extreme level. Man they made the most horrible poutine there, everybody tried it... only once.

At my high school there was one bomb threat a year all four years I was there...and every single one was in the middle of winter on a freezing, overcast, windy day. So much fun standing in that....

Talking with one of my teacher afters one of those threats I discovered that they had also had a bomb threat just 3 hours after the twin towers fell, ass that called it in got caught the same day.

We had a bomb threat in elementary school. One of the teacher's got fired and left a bomb threat note on the secretary's desk. Luckily my school was in the middle of nowhere so we just walked out into a field and hung out all morning. Then our parents picked us up at lunchtime.

Women always do stupid and irrational things. This should come as no surprise to anyone. Like all women, she didn't think things through, and instead, became emotional and just acted on what she thought would be a good idea. She was wrong. Everyone knows this.
