Some feminist needs to take her place.

I do not see too many women complaining about equal pay in the NFL.

I seem to remember a song with the lyrics "Get the rolls in the oven and your buns back in bed."

Is there another video of her kickoffs because the video of the combine showed worse kicks than my fourth grade pee-wee players make.

Women really need to stop trying to compete in men's sports. She is like 5'4". Even someone as small as Randall Cobb or Darren Sproles would break her in half on a kickoff. Women don't have the testosterone levels to compete. If you want to compete with men, go play pool, or bowling.

I think there is, but when I first heard the story of her trying out I got excited that she might actually be good. Then I heard she never actually played football at any level before this and got less excited. She can claim injury all she wants but it seems like bullshit to me the way this turned out. Whether she just wanted the spotlight for her 15mins or not I'm not sure yet, but it just seems odd. She's supposedly been a soccer player for a good chunk of time, and it looks like she's been practicing kicking footballs to get ready for this, but now when it counts on her first kick she gets hurt. People get hurt, people have bad luck, but I just don't buy it.

I'm glad she failed. We do NOT need wimmenz playing in the NFL. Once that starts, the game will go to shit...quickly.

Hits will have to be modified...maybe to touch or flag football...after all, we can't have 300 lb. linemen crushing these "delicate little flowers" on the football field.

It is a bit strange but I don't think she was glory hunting really. She was probably just trying to encourage other women to try out as well by demonstrating that women can participate.

I looked into it and the regional combines have been around only since 2011. Before that, if you weren't among the lucky 350 invited to the scouting combine, you wouldn't get a chance to prove yourself. Now anyone with $225-275 who meets basic physical requirements can at least have a shot. There are 11 regional combines and they will accept up to 240 regular players, 50 punters, and 40 kickers each.

I wonder why she didn't do this last year assuming she wasn't injured then.

Hopefully another woman out there takes this as a challenge to salvage her gender's honor. There's no reason why a woman shouldn't be able to kick a football.

She embarrassed herself and set women back. Nobody, male or female, would be taken seriously if they came to an NFL tryout and didn't know the basics of the position they were hoping to play. A guy would be laughed off of the field, but a woman showing up so unprepared just makes it easier for women to be excluded from future tryouts.

This crap about how everyone deserves a chance to tryout is BS. If you can't kick a ball 50+ yards then don't tryout for NFL kicker.

Logic fail. How do you find people who can kick 50+ yards without giving them a chance to try out and actually show their stuff? Sure, most of them aren't ever going to make it to the NFL but at least they have an opportunity. And they're paying an entry fee so you can't really say they're wasting their time (assuming time is money).

The regional combines were introduced as a way for teams to find some of those under-the-radar players that aren't connected enough or aren't in a position to get noticed by the right people. In this case it looks like she was either delusional or shooting for her moment in the spotlight, but so what?
