And no one noticed this when she was 2 and it was but a small growth that kept growing.....and cut the damn thing off?

She was born with it and twelve when it started growing and she lived in rural Albania.... Retention for the win.

It has nothing to do with retention....it is late at night here and the sound on my PC is turned off.

The rest of her face looks young for 41.

Probably because she didn't go outside for years, therefore no sun exposure.

Is this the key to staying looking young then? I wonder...

I can't click the link but I'm thinking it's probably the same thing I saw that this one poor dude had that was featured on TLC a few months back. It was a type of vascular birthmark that wouldn't stop growing. He looked like Sloth from Goonies only about 1000 times worse.

It was getting so large that it was interfearing with his breathing and eating, and it wasn't something you could just cut off because of the vast amount of blood vessels in it.

The show chronicled his first surgery which consisted of some experimental stuff to remove a large portion of the growth, and at the same time using a powerful laster to shrink, sear, and recolor what they couldn't remove. When they got done it looked maybe 10% better. =(

Poor guy.
