I was 13lbs. My sisters were both over 9lbs.

My mom is less than five feet tall... and Asian.

All c-section.

Haha, C-Section for sure!

My wife had our last two at home. No drugs, vaginal delivery. One was eleven pounds 🙂

The pediatricians who do these deliveries Homefirst, had an article posted at the office where they delivered a 15.5 pound baby girl vaginally, at home.

🙂

Whats the deal with having them at home? Isn't there more of a risk if anything goes wrong (and not being in a hospital) ?

She got her degree in Biology, I think she figures if it was good enough for several millenia of evolution, it's good enough for her. 😉

But the truth is, it's WAY less stressful to have the baby at home. Most pregnancies and births don't require medical intervention really. My wife was perfectly healthy, the pregnancies went really well. There was nothing in her medical history to indicate that giving birth would be a problem. why would anyone want the stress, expense, and uncertainty of a hospital when it's not absolutely necessary.

We had our oldest in the hospital and the next two at home. The home experience was WAY better, more fulfilling, more relaxing, more joyful.
