Woman falls out of amusement park ride

Looks like I'll never get my wife on another amusment park ride - she sent me this link. This was the only type of ride she would go on. 60 feet, ouch.

Wow that's sad.

I had a similar experience as a child on the same type of ride. I wasn't belted in securely (to much space was left between the chest brace and my person) and almost slipped through while the ship hung upside down. Extremely scary experience

That's awful. I always got a rush from that ride (Berserker at Kings Dominion) because it felt like I was going to come out of the harness. Maybe my days of riding it are over.

My only guesses, she never fastened in properly or the device that holds you in place somehow broke.

i have never been on one of those rides. they scare the crap out of me.

More like this ride.
And the one at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ is rife with safety equipement - shoulder harness, lap brace, and an overhead cage. My friends joked that despite its apparent danger, it was probably the safest ride in the park.

But nothing is safe and with the amount of people that get through these types of park I'm not suprised that more people aren't killed actually. But how did she slip through? Man that must have been so unlucky to get in to the only seat that was faulty
