A shopper urinated at a Corte Madera clothing store because she was angry there was no restroom available, police said.

The incident occurred Tuesday evening at Abercrombie & Fitch, a store in The Village at Corte Madera, where a woman asked if she could use a bathroom, police said.

When she was told the store had none, the disgruntled shopper swiped a 5-gallon pail from a display and adjourned to a changing room. After she emerged and left the store, employees went into the dressing room and discovered that the woman had urinated into the bucket and dumped about $300 worth of new clothes in it, said Twin Cities police Officer David Woo.

Neither mall security nor police were able to locate the woman - described as tall, white, thin, blonde and in her 40s - and the investigation appeared to be stalled.

But on Wednesday afternoon, police received another urgent call from Abercrombie & Fitch that the same woman had returned. Police responded quickly and questioned the suspect, who acknowledged being in the store the previous afternoon but could not remember the incident.

"She knew she was there, but she didn't recall doing any of that," said Twin Cities police Officer Patrick Eddinger.

The Mill Valley woman was on probation for grand theft and a drug offense, enabling police to search her car without a warrant. They searched the vehicle, a silver Audi A4, and found nothing suspicious.

The woman was sent on her way with no further police action, but the store management demanded that she never return.

"The store does not wish to press charges," said Twin Cities police Chief Phil Green.

A manager at Abercrombie & Fitch declined to comment on the incident.

I always wondered why they use this pungent perfume in the store. It's to beat the smell of piss from aggrieved customers!

But that's five-thousand egg rolls that their employees that make the clothes are out.

Noooo, not $300 worth of closing! The store can't be safe without urine-free closing!
