Not once you factor in labor charges.
Taking care of it with a bullet takes about 1 minute of labor and about 50 cents in materials. (not counting the common labor between the two processes). Assuming we pay the person $12/hour this results in a labor cost of 20 cents and a total cost of $0.70. Properly tying the knot takes about two minutes, stringing it up and hanging another two minutes, attaching the person a minute, and then bringing them down another two minutes. This results in seven minutes of labor, and at the same labor rate is $1.40.
Even cheaper - baseball bat to the face. Repeat if necessary.
