Actually what she's saying makes perfect sense, people on food stamps should not be eating TV dinners, she's right in noting that that person could use that money on a few whole chickens, a bag of potatoes and feed an entire family for 3-4 days. She also noted people with Frosted flakes in their cart, store-brand should be good enough, heck I buy store-brand and it's usually just fine. Also noted was a woman paying with food stamps had an Iphone5, a phone much better than what she uses. Then she was criticizing (and I can't agree more) fat people riding in the store's electric scooters instead of walking the aisles burning off a few calories, then when someone with a real disability needs a scooter all the fatties are using them.
He he he, you're taking The Onion seriously?
You're probably right there. It's more accurate than NBC.
It would be a huge understatement to say that the irony is lost on these ATOT posters. Even funnier than the article itself. I still don't think they get it.He he he, you're taking The Onion seriously?
One issue not mentioned is that many poor folks live in situations where they don't have access to an actual kitchen to cook things like fresh chickens. Also for some stupid reason (at least in Connecticut) buying fresh cooked chicken isn't allowed with food stamps while the TV-dinner kind is just fine?
whaa? they don't have an actual kitchen? sorry to burst your bubble but if you are on section 8 or such part of the law is it has to have a kitchen. that claim is a little far fetched..

the idea on not allowing pre-made food even from a deli is so they don't use it at fast food joints.
I’d just buy two whole chickens and a bag of potatoes—you could feed a family for a week on that and still have money left over.”
this bugs the shit out of me . Fat people parking in handicap spots and then getting those damn scooters.
The woman herself is what's funny. Like she feels she so justified as to judge others when she doesn't know their lifestyle at all. But if you can afford brand, fast frozen items and make it last all month then what the hell difference does it matter if you instead make everything from scratch as if you were Amish? They are each allotted certain amount of food stamps a month regardless. Otherwise we might as well be Nazi's and tell people they can't eat...and it won't stop there.
Yeah, and the people who park in the fire lane because the forty feet from the parking lot is too damn far.
Ugh - I was at Kroger the other day and someone was parked in the fire lane so the passenger could rent a red box movie. There were spots less than 20ft from where they parked. Was it really so fucking far to walk that they couldn't park there instead?
