Wolfram Alpha still sucks ass

I tried this overhyped swill some months ago. It's a site written by some dude successful in some math software and he's creating this search engine that he wants to have intelligently answer questions, except of course it doesn't work for sh*t, answers questions worse than my cat for the most part. I have constantly found it worse than google. And for easy questions. Tonight...

Like:
how many minutes 2012 movie <- it basically comes up with nothing relevant at all, unlike google which hits that fvcker on the head on its first response to where somebody asked the question.

or:
how long is 2012 movie <- in this one it comes up with basic info about the movie, whoo hoo! Except not the length. Fail. This one takes a few responses for google to get the right one.

My point exactly. And my description of it was actually very good:

It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from structured data, rather than providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer as a search engine would

Something tells me "Alpha" stands for "really ready for everyone to use", and that a computational search engine which was hyped for it's potential really would be an all purpose, Google-killer right away.

I agree with previous posters, you should just stick to google.

I've used wolfram to help me solve some math problems when I didn't feel like waiting until the next day to understand it. Has been useful for some of my friends taking chemistry classes too.

Hey OP might want to click on examples on the top of the page, that might help..

Google is not very good at calculating integrals. Wolfram Alpha is. They are not meant to be used for the same purposes.
