Yes, as a matter of fact I have many Jewsish friends, and you are absolutely right, most of them were against the war. I should have written "powerful Jews in government" instead of just "Jews". For that I apologize.

That still doesn't prove any sort of influence the Jews had on the U.S. decision to go to war. All it "proves" is that Jews or powerful Jews in government, as you corrected, supported the war efforts after it began.

this is exactly the type of incomprehensible moral equivalency that accepts suicide bombers
1. germans never pursued targeted killings, when they began killing jews it was systematic. furthermore, jews never attacked germans until the SS was sweeping through the ghettos and even then they only attacked military.
2. the jews were forcibly moved into the ghettos for no reason. the ghettos which palestinians live in have arisen since they have lived there--they were towns similar to any other in the region beforehand. furthermore, the fact that they have so little land is due to numerous failed military conflicts.
3. jews cant keep a low profile because they are successful when surrounded by people who are not.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - all of these holocaust comparisons need to stop. neither iraq, nor bosnia nor the mideast have anything in common with the holocaust aside from senseless killings. each are their own despicable tradgedies and should be, out of respect for those who have died, treated as such. they are not propaganda tools and they are not "benchmarks" against which to compare travesties.
