wolfenstein speed

After switching from 98 to XP, I've noticed the speed of wolfenstein go from over a 100 fps, to 20-30 with the same options. Game load time is also quite poor. I used to be the first person in every game, now I'm close to last. Thats with original XP 4 in 1s, and the new ones.


I've disabled smoothvision and it jumped back up to 80s, anyone else having this problem? I haven't tried the non beta drivers, cause I don't think that they decreased the performance in this game. The game really doesn't need smoothvision, its good looking already.

Also noticed a huge IQ increase over 98 with the same options.


 
Radeons lose speed (sometimes lots) going from Windows 98 to XP. Happened with my LE DDR. Smoothvision also is a co-culprit there, you don't need it on!
 
I expected a minor speed loss, but 70fps? thats not right...

It was on the big assualt map, which has lower fps then other maps...
