Even if it were the case of being 105c tjmax. I think I still would go with the 95c as it is more advantagous for keeping temps in perspective. Personally, I like the mindset of lower temps.

with an intel x38 motherboard and an e8400 read through intel desktop utilities, the answer is 100c

I voted for 95 C (ie Real Temp) because people much more knowledgeable than me seem to believe this. Though I'm personally a little sceptical since my Wolfdale temps seem rather low in Real Temp (< 40 C, without air conditioning, stock Intel cooler). Somehow I trust higher temps more -- I tend to be an unlucky overclocker...

Considering the controversy, I'm surprised no one has got to the bottom of this using, well, technology and empirical measurements. Admittedly this would require somewhat more than the resources of your average geek, but I've seen some pretty impressive science-in-a-basement...

Its 95c. Real Temps author measured it with a Fluke IR thermometer.

A poll is definitely the scientific way to determine the true TJmax. ;)

Haven't been to TJ Max in a long time. I seem to remember the clothes there being cheap, but I am not much of a shopper, so I don't really remember.
