WOL Question

I'm looking for a good resource that discussing Wake On Lan.

Basically, I want to setup remote desktop and WOL so I can trigger my home computer to start from the office and then remotely use it and then shut down.

Thanks for that reference Jack! I was using an old command line thing I found a long time ago, this is much nicer.

Anyone here use WOL a lot? I played with it several times in college, but I could never get it very functional, dispite all the WOL hardware I tried. I know it works, I've had friends elsewhere that got it running for work related functions, but my hardware never like my magic packets

I have WOL on two computers that are in other parts of the house, they wake up when I tell them to without any issues. As long as WOL is supported by your BIOS and computer, and you have a NIC with the WOL capability, it should be pretty easy to get it running.
