Is there a little utility that will wake up another computer simply?

The only thing I could find was an AMD utility, that either you have to type in numbers each time, or you set up a file you choose and set a time to wake. How about just selecting the computer by some lablel and waking right now, which is what I want to do? The trouble is I have to set the time ahead and wait, and it does not alway seem to work if I set the time too close. Am I the only person that wants to do this?

The idea is to run the other computers from one main one using a "remote desktop". Win98se has one hidden in Netmeeting 3. There is the neat VNC, once you figure it out. No way to avoid a password that I can see. Is there one that does not require a password? Dang passwords for everything!

The ideal thing would be to have a shortcut that I click on and does both the waking and the remote desktop.

There is also the oddity that if I have Netmeeting loaded automatically, as I need, you can't have a program, like a game, run full screen even when there is no remote desktop going.

I use Poweroff 3.0 which if free and be found at download.com. As far as the PW's... if it is necessary to have one at each boot up then I don't know if this would work for you. However, if you want to allow automatic logon you can use TweakUI and enable the logon feature.

As far as I can tell, Poweroff only works over a local network. I haven't been able to make it work outside the LAN.
