Woke up with my whole body asleep? WTF

Stayed in a hotel last night. I woke up a few hours ago to alarm going off. I was sideways across the bed (feet were at the bottom left, head at top right), and my whole body was "asleep". Both my arms, both my feet, and even the back of my head was tingly. I wonder if I was so tired I slept on my arms? After about 1-2 minutes, the pricklers went away and I felt completely fine again.

Is it really possible to sleep on your arms while sleeping?

Adjustment Bureau.

Never had my whole body, just a single arm, but rarely once a year or so. And man, arms are fucking heavy as dead weight.

Something interrupted blood flow to your entire body. You probably had a stroke while you were sleeping also.

That seems really odd. An asleep limb makes sense as its easy enough to pinch it in such a way that blood can't flow well, but how does that happen to the majority of the body?

Blocked aorta? highly unlikely.

Probably you were just tensing your muscles in your sleep due the unfamiliarity of the bed. Ive done this in hotels before, where ill wake up and my legs arms and shoulders are stiff from being tense.

Its like that old joke.
Guy goes to a doctor and says "i keep having this dream where first Im a teepee, then, Im a wigwam, then Im a teepee, Im a wigwam."
Doctor says "thats easy, your too tense"

I would get a check up from your doc. One arm I can see but both is not a good sign especially when it starts spreading to the back of the head. It could be something simple, but if you haven't done the yearly check up thing with a doc I would.

This. Its probably nothing, but still worth checking out. There is a chance it could be serious, particularly if it is not a one time occurrence.

I used to wake up to numb arms quite often. Was a real pain and I often hurt my shoulders or elbows a bit trying to get out of bed without the use of my arms while on my stomach.

Oddly enough, this has stopped occurring since I quit smoking. Not sure if I sleep differently now, or if smoking just had an effect on my nerves that made them more susceptible to this when sleeping with my head on my arms.

I've woken up after sleeping on my arm in such a way that my arm fell asleep to the point where I couldn't even lift it.

Pretty hilarious to get up and have your arm flopping around.

uuuuh, yea. and this is guy is saying that this happened to his WHOLE body. Now THATS frickin hilarious!

One time I had one of my legs completely go to sleep. I think no blood must have not been going to it all night because when I woke up I literally fell right down and could not walk. My leg was like a very light blu-ish and I was kind of freaking out.

By the time I got in the shower the blood was coming back and damn it hurt like hell.
