Woke up to a flat tire. No big deal, I thought.

Went to pump it up, and realized I had broken the bead by driving on it. Strike 1.

Jacked up the car, put the spare on, and looked the flat tire over.. noticed it has a huge flat spot in it, with the steel belts showing. I was thinking that the road noise was a little louder than normal. I didn't notice since it had always been like that, though. I've put 6,000 miles on the damaged tire! :Q

Started calling tire places, Firestone specifically.. because I want to get the OEM Bridgestone Potenza RE92s. The RE92s in that size are on national backorder. Fabulous! Strike 3.

Guess I'll be driving on the spare all day. 50MPH FTL.

Sorry to hear, and damn, 6000 in 3 weeks. Someone in the Insight forums mentioned they bought tires directly from Bridgestone just last week.

All of the local tire places are out, and could get me some next week, shipped from other places.

I found two dealerships that each had one in stock, though.

So hopefully they still have them tomorrow.
