I lost $100 in one sitting of black jack.. 🙁

total: $200 down...

You could learn hold 'em for free on yahoo games or by watching the World Tournament of Poker.

I know how to play hold em, but never played a "live" game..

a real game is tottally diff from a practise game, you are playing against other people, not agains the house

Real is totally different than practice. I play 21 all the time but when I went to Vegas I felt like a jackass. For me it was primarily about the whole "ettiquite" thing. Where to put the chips, when to put them down, do I tip the dealer...stuff like that.

Have fun! I went in August and am going again in March. I can't wait!

video poker is for sucker, it's pretty much like slot machines, for most people, you lose everything or more at the end.
play something you actually have control over, like black jack.

also don't tip the dealer everytime you win.
why bother?
think they will tip you when you lose?
if you are up $100 and s/he is leaving, you can throw down a $5 if you want to be generous.

Play "Jackpot Party" if they have it there. I literally always win when I go to my local casino. It's a loose game.

Except for Craps, which has better odds than BJ and literally is a crap shoot.

mmmmm if you know how to play video poker, you can get ~99-101% return

But it's boring!...In my opinion.

Learn how to play Craps, your odds are pretty good if you stay away from the sucker bets and it's fun!

Live poker is also fun, you can play for hours in a low limit game without much risk if you play good starting cards.
