Happily admiring my skill in returning the Dragon Amulet to the Emperor I suddenly think the game has gone one step further into the realms of realism and is generating the subtle aroma of charred flesh to convince me the orc I've just slayne is not just hocus pocus but blood and bones.
Unfortunately the orc was hocus pocus and now so is my computer, processor charred, mobo charred, ram dead.
All will need replacing but the way things are ATM it'll take me 6 - 8 months to save up the cash.
My 9800 Pro is still ok but as it's AGP it'll need replacing too.

I am undone, I feel lost, I want to play games, work a bit in ZBrush on my monster, listen to music, maybe browse some photos and watch a film.
I have smashed up my leg so i can't go out.
Only my works T60 to keep me online.
Now I am stuck with no entertainment, feels like work/sleep/work/sleep.

Sucks!

Anandtech to the rescue, what can I do in a web browser without installing anything?
Maybe some portable programs I can carry on flash? (got a 15gb thumb)?

Replies appreciated.

So you can't go out anywhere? Or can you make it to a library with intarnet access? You can always try Runescape. I know that the kids here love it.

life lesson for you...if you can not afford to replace it and it is not insured, do not buy it.

Good advice which I will try to follow but I could afford it when I baught it, then things went bad, had to move to a cheaper place (3 weeks ago) and hadn't got the Insurance sorted :(
