Used my Visa (CheckCard) several times in the last week.Today all the charges came back and apparently I had no money.

Example:
Charge: 1.91
Charge: 3.90
Charge: 5.00

They charged me $30 for each of those charges for going over.

*)#(*!!

I didn't know you could charge your VISA check card if you had no money in the account. I checked my balance and it always said I had money.

The reason I got a negative is because I purchased items on my VISA check card a week ago and they just now showed up as "today's debits".

Blah 🙁 Oh well. Any chance the bank will give me 1 $30 fine or am I SOL?

Call your bank or go in person, most likely they'll take off all but one of the fees. If it's your first time (sounds like it is), they may take all of them off.

Of course they let you overdraft your account, how else do you expect them to make a profit on free checking accounts?

With a normal checking account you could call the bank and plead stupidity and they would wave the last two fees if you didn't have a history of stupidity.

It's worth a shot.
