yeah, i need a vaca from the states, know a few people up that way, i've got a freind plannin a trip to that area in january, i figure i'll go up with him, hang out in toronto alone for the time he's with his people. but it'd be cool to meet some OT's while i'm there.. . just cause i'm sick of the US for now, and got it in me to travel some place

soo im just wondering if any body up there exists, and might want to i dunno, show me the malls and stuff, while I'm there. .

There are plenty from around the Toronto area, but they may be at work / at school / writing exams right now. Just wait (no I'm not from Toronto).

We've secretly installed our own communications base at forums.anandtech.ca, and are plotting your demise as we speak. Tread not onto Canadian soil, for you will be vanquished.

If you want to tack on another 24 hour drive to your trip, you can come to Halifax, and I will show you our 3 illustrious malls.

I'm from Toronto...not sure if I'll be in the city though come January when you're here.

Piece of advice if you're staying in a downtown hotel...look for a hotel that is connected to the underground PATH system or close to it if you can afford it (it's the underground city that connects much of downtown's skyscrapers and malls). That way, you can walk everywhere but not have to walk through the slush that'll probably be around in January...you can walk underground and see some nice shops and restaurants along the way.

You might be able to see if your hotel is connected to the path from the map above...it's a huge underground network when you look at the map but you can really walk to different places really fast down there.
