I'm refering to the ones that was posted a little while back (v4161s). Decided to dust off the old SC in the closet and reinstalled it into my main box. Almost (almost) all the gaming issues I had with it are gone. Admittedly, my Audigy is still a little better in the gaming department, but the music/.mp3 playback is as superb as ever. The guess the Santa Cruz is gonna stick around in my main box for a little while longer. My point is, if you haven't tried the new drivers yet, do so. You won't be disappointed.

Why not just plug both of them in the same machine? ;)

I actually did that at one time, but it was a pain in the ass to have to reach around and unplug/plug the speakers jacks into each sound card every time I wanted to use one or the other. I didn't have any problems with driver conflicts because I used dual hardware configurations under Windows and only one sound card was detected at a time, however some of my apps would get confused and try to use one sound card while the other was enabled. In the end, it was just too much of a headache for what it was worth. Kept the Audigy in for awhile 'cause I played alot of games, but lately, I've been using my PC more as jukebox rather than gaming so the Santa Cruz went back in.
