Woah....MS acceptance of Fiefox's presence?

You know how you are asked to verify your copy of XP like with windows update or with MS antispyware? well now, instead of downloading a windows APP in firefox to take care of it they now have a firefox plugin that downloads and automatically takes care of it for you...

I don't know about you, but I call that caving into the competition....

 

But you can't use Firefox with Windows Update, so what's the point?

Short term stop gap. Microsoft is moving away from Windows Update in IE. In Windows Vista, they have a separate application to do updates, just like they should have had a long time ago.

There was rumour last week that Google were going to buy out Opera, same thing with Microsoft this week. Both false though.........
