I was driving home from work last night and as I was passing one of the big local highschools right next to my apartments I saw tons and tons of signs, and kids holding signs for PROP 2. Many here may not know what prop 2 is, and frankly I don't care to discuss that. Wrong forum for that. I was just surprised be the sheer determination of these people and the fact they were annoying the crap out of me. This was the middle of rush hour traffic on a 6 lane road and kdis were running between cars, stufing flyers into open windows or on windshield wipers, and basically asking for me to put my foot on the gas pedal and run them over.
I get home, and my apartment is literally right next to the high school and the signs have spread. WTH? Do people really think that throwing this crap in someone's face like this is more likely to get them to follow THIER views and vote the way they want?
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with driving down the occasion street and seeing a single sign on a corner or two stating, Vote for such and such.
I have a problem when there are hundreds of those signs blocking traffic, my parking spot, and having kids running in and out of traffic. I have no problem with a person standing off to the side of a street with flyers in hand and giving them to people that actually roll down their window and ask for them. I DO have a problem when they are throwing flyers into open windows of traffic passing by, in many cases still moving, or running up and shoving the flyer into the windshield wiper when the person inside obviously didn't want the flyer by not rolling down their window in the first place.
