It was about time. CanOWorms (old rig) has gone through a 'clean up' (software).
Daumn this was tricky. Tried to reinstall W2K but for some reason it got screwed up so it didn't work and it took hours to get the old install to work.
After that I went on to clean up. Deleted all software and RegCleaned the registry.
LOL! It took 15 mins to run. Probably took out a few thousand entries.
That's what happens if the HD was never reformated and had W98 and W2K reinstalled probably 6 or seven times.
the mobo is in a pretty sad state. Floppy controler crapped out as well as the sound. It's been a trusty companion.
Will now serve as MP3 player once I get a new cheap sound card installed. Maybe a cheap video card with TV out will be good too.
A 60GB WD had and a CD-RW was scavenged from it.
