SO basically I just stand around, because I have a best buy right next door to my target- and so no one visits the target electronics dept. Anyways, hope it's fun-also going to college so my days, nights, weekends will be pretty full

See this is what I call having a racket going for yourself. Basically you have a job which doesn't require a lot of work, but you are getting paid the same, no matter what.

I would've worked for Target rather than Best Buy...less pressure to sell PSPs and accessories

I didn't think they had Electronics employees... I thought they just had people that hung around with boxes of diapers and such and chatted on their walkie-talkies over there?

I'm pretty sure that's why nobody likes to buy stuff from target electronics.

You'll never just be standing around..........between "zoning" and then rezoning and doing pulls in your department or out of it.........you'll be busy.

Exactly, they do everything but help customers. Wouldn't be so bad, but, electronics is one of the few departments where you need them to get stuff for you to buy / look at. Anyway, congrats on the job, hopefully you can score some deals w/ clearance stuff and employee discounts.

I doubt the entire corporation has a customer service epidemic......maybe you just had a bad experience?

The departments have these phones now.......if a person doesn't arrive within 60 seconds to clear the request for help, the store gets bad marks and such.

LOL....exactly. Last time I was at Target I went to check out the cameras. The salesguy was half asleep and didn't offer to take anything out of the case. I asked what brands were good, he said, "They are all fine". After 3 mintues of silence, I had two and asked what hte difference on zoom range and features were, he said, "The zoom is written on the front right there". I said thanks for your help and walked away. I went to another aisle telling a buddy how crappy the service by the cameras was and the salesguy walked right past.......hehe, hope he felt stupid

I'm like WOW, you knkow you have that Jen garner look going, she's like, I get that a lot- I should be her stunt double. She was so fine, and that smile- I wish I took a picture.

I don't do gaphics because they don't get recognized like they should, even the good pictures. I do music now, produce techno, with my keyboard and pc. I knokw some night club owners, and some dj's locally here in MIami bch. And i'm better with music, and it's more appreciated and easier to get work, or sell music because of it's popularity.

Now i'm taking Electroinc music as my major, I guess that would be a fine art and I want to learn to do it formally.

As for my tme at target, I don't do to much zoning since there are people specifically hired to do that, but I still do a little from time to time, in my dept. Mainly lots of mothers asking to get their kids a gba game and I recommend games.

The besst part is that they give me good hours, atleast 30, and then the day s I don't work, I can call the manager on duty that day and ask if they need back up cashier or sales somewhere and they always have the need for someone to do some job, that's the great thing about retail, even something like "zoning" which is not the most exciting task, but they always need help with it so I am guaranteed to get like 40 hours, which is hard to come by with so many people looking for work, and hopefully overtime during the holidays. I see people just standing around in the store that work there, because Target would rather have many extra workers then be in shortage, I don't know about your targets that have bad customer service, but ours is really good at that and in an expensive area (Aventura, Miami bch), we don't want to lose any of those good customers
