My laptop couldnt boot because of corrupt vgaoem.fom file. I tried the recovery process using the windows startup cd, but I dont know what password to enter when I was promted to "Type the Administrator password". I know there is a way around it but i cant find any answers. Anyone know what to do?

If you installed XP yourself enter the password you enetered for the administrator account. Try just inputting nothing and just press enter if there is none.

There is also a program available from microsoft that can re-set the administrator password. Has to be ran from a bootable floppy/cd. I don't remember exactly what it is called, but a search through the MSDN should reveal it.
