After months of gleaning information off these forums, it's only that there's something I can't find the answer to...
And so:

How can I watch WMV files without having to install Windows media player 7?

Yeah...

But it doesn't work!
I tried installing some codecs... namely the wm8 one.. I think..

It still keeps asking to install Media Player 7, which I don't want. Is this fear unwarranted?
