wmv to mov conversion

Hi Folks,
You people were very helpful in teaching me how to capture video from VCR tape. Now I need to know how to convert a .wmv to .mov format. The end goal is to put my dad's home movie on the Internet for both Windows Media Player 9 and also Quick Time Player 6.5. An example is http://www.lasermonks.com.
I have Quick Time Pro but it won't accept (import) .wmv files. How do I get a .mov file?
I'll do or get whatever it takes! (within reason).
