Suddenly one day I can't get wmplayer 7.1 to run on my win98 machine. No hardware changes, no software changes, just the following comes up whenever you try to run wmplayer:

WMPLAYER caused an invalid page fault in

I have searched for hours, and find that there are a billion error messages such as this that hit people with wmplayer 7.1. Microsoft's answer? Incompatible video drivers. BS, I have been using the same drivers just fine for over a year with 7.1.

I have tried removing, installing, doing the double install, and voodoo dolls. Nothing is working, and I really don't want to reinstall the OS. Help, please!!!!!

Clear the other programs running in the memory. If it helps, use a spyware remover to rid of these programs on startup.
