WMP10 Blanking out

im having a wierd prob with WMP

whether its in full mode, or skin mode, or even if its a streaming feature on a web page, if i minimise the window the video is playing in and then go back to it the video is gone, sound is still there. minimise and maximise again an the video is comes back as normal. it some times goes blank when seeking through a video too

is this something to do with the video overlay in the nvidia drivers?

Same exact thing happens to me all the time. If someone has the solution please post.

Does it do it when using both overlay and VMR rendering modes?

i have no idea, its just WMP to me, whats VMR?

Tools>Options>Performance>advanced

"Use high quality mode" uses the shader pipeline (VMR9) rather than the overlay to render video. Checking "Use Overlays" is self explanatory, and unchecking them all uses the legacy renderer or GDI to dislay video.

jus tried that, getting some flickering and image seperation using it, though it seems to have sorted itself now, certainly fixed the blanking out thing, cheers
