I've noticed recently that some links(asx) on the net require administrator rights to play in wmp 7.1. Under user and power user accounts, I get an 'Access Denied' message, like this:
You do not have permission to play this file
Error ID = 0x80070005, Remedy ID = 0x00000000
This file contains protected multimedia content. You need to have permission to play this file. Please consult the system administrator or multimedia content provider to get permission to play this file and enter your password correctly when prompted.
That same error message is lumped into a bunch of other problems with network connectivity, bad path name, etc. It happens on cdnow and microsoft.com. I tried switching all the file types except wmp skins to wmp6.4, but IE doesn't care. Any ideas?
