WMP required for iRiver T30. Isn't that a bad thing.

I've read that the iRiver T30 1GB requires using Windows Media Player.

Wasn't there something a while back before version 9 or 10 of WMP that was reason to not use it?

I use Winamp.

I'm considering buying either the iRiver T30 1GB or the Creative Nano Plus 1GB.

Thanks

Yeah, the T30 only connects to the computer using Microsoft's Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), so you have to use a program that supports it. Since you're a Winamp fan, though, it looks like you're in luck: it supports MTP.

I still think that USB Mass Storage Compatibility is the way to go, but at least Winamp is better than WMP.
