wmp not working

i just reformatted my laptop and installed wmp 10. it won't play any file. everytime i try to play something it says "loading..." then windows popup comes up saying there was a program error and it must close. i already reinstalled wmp10 many times but it still won't work. how to fix?

Just curious, have you checked cpu usage when this occurs?
