WMP is pathetic

So I download that Hi-Def Dolphins 1280x720 video from the Microsoft site.

I try to run it with WMP and get a choppy 9 FPS. Then I try to run with BSplayer and get 22.5 FPS!

That's a 150% difference, and on a MS codec of all things.

That is pretty amazing, but I have to point out that FPS is not the ultimate test. BSPlayer could be reducing the quality of the video in order to play it better. It could also be dropping frames. 22.5 is close to 23, which is a standard framerate for video. It might simply be dropping frames in order to meet this target.

Just my oppinion

Your computer sucks, I just played "the magic of flight" @ 1080p with 0 frames dropped on WMP9 😛

23.9 FPS and 0 dropped frames on my system.

I believe it's your computer that is pathetic. 😛
