WMP: Cannot transition between streaming video?

I'm at CNN.com now and for some reason the commercial plays, once its over, the video is supposed to play. But instead, the video player automatically skips my video, goes to another commercial, and trys to start the next video in the playlist, however, even the next video cannot play... and so the cycle continues, commercial > attempt to play chosen video, fails > commercial > repeat.

It's always happened on other websites as well. In both IE and firefox. I originally had WMP10, and just downloaded WMP11. Even so, the problem still exists. What can I do?
