WMP 11 Fullscreen question

Howdy,

I'm using WMP11 to play back a video file. The resolution is less than my screen resolution and I don't want WMP to resize the video.

When I play the video normally, WMP opens up and plays the video at the proper size with black around the rest of the screen which is what I want.

Problem is I want to put it into Fullscreen mode to get rid of all the controls, menus, etc. However when I go to fullscreen mode, it always then maximizes the video and stretches it to take up the whole screen.

Anyone know if a way to make the program go fullscreen but to NOT resize the video?

I already have the option turned off under View to NOT Fit Video to Player on Resize.

I wanted to use VLC but it doesn't read the file in properly and skips all around at the very end. Also open to other programs that support playlists but the files are MPG files.

Um, dunno why you'd wanna do that, but I think most, if not all, video players out there resize the video so it fits full screen. You could try using Media Player Classic then changing the options in there.

Btw, if your players aren't playing your files properly, try this:

Uninstall all codecs and video players instead of WMP
Restart Comp
Install CCCP

Reason I want to do it is simply to have a big black screen with just the video playing in the middle without any title bar, buttons, etc. But I don't want the actual video to go fullscreen because then it doesn't look as good when it gets stretched out.
