WMP 11 DVD Decoding

I recently reformatted my computer, and after reinstalling everything. I decided to get rid of all the crap that came with my Sony Vaio. So, I uninstalled everything and I accidently deleted the necessary codecs and such for WMP. Is there any other codecs or other programs that integrate with WMP. I tried that XP Codec Pack, but it will not allow me to put subtitles on nor does it play in widescreen. Help is appreciated.
 
I'm not a fan of codec packs. I like ffdshow for MPEG-4 (DivX, XviD) stuff and DScaler for MPEG-2 (DVD) stuff. I use Real Alternative for RealPlayer files and the QuickTime player for QT files.
 
Do you mean just playing the DVDs in WMP? install a copy of Power DVD to get the MPG2 decoder and WMP will be able to use it.
