WMIC quota exceeded

I recently discovered the cool little tool WMIC, a command line version of WMI. But it appears that for Server 2003 and XP, the default setting for the memory limit for WMI is 128MB, whereas for the more modern versions it is 516 MB. It is easy enough to increase the quota, but that requires a reboot. Does anyone here know of a way to get around that? I've noticed that a reboot itself will usually cure it, but is there any other way, like maybe removing some stuff from memory?

A little googling turns up this book, which I have started to peruse, but I am impatient. 😀
