WMA to MP3 file conversion

Does anybody have a good way of converting windows media player 10 protected files to mp3s?

The only way would be to record the analogue output whilest playing the file. This would take a long time, reduces the quality of the track and probably isn't worth it.

Not to mention that it would be illegal because you would be copying copyrighted material.

My suggestion - just buy the CD - much more rewarding.

Thanks guys, My Wife purchased the songs legally (she downloaded them from Walmart.com which apparently uses Windows Media player and automatically makes them the .WMA format) and I just want to transform the file format to make it usable with a mixer that will only work with mp3s.

anybody else? I can't believe this is so hard? I don't want to copy a file just convert the file format..........
