WM8 and MPEG problem.

Im trying to watch an mpeg file and I cant see it,I can only hear it. It gives me a brief error message saying "error downloading codec"...whatever that means.Can someone help?
 
Windows media player needs to be able to get on the Internet to download the latest version of the MPEG codec so that it can render video.
