Help, my pc cant see the other computer. My computer is the main computer, im connected through a wireless router which is connected to the cable modem.

The second pc is using a wireless usb adapter card stick.

Every time I try to view the network, it just shows my computer.
Before it was working, although everytime I had to click my network places>setup home network>wait 10 secs>get error msg, asking me to manually configure.
Usually in a wierd way after this I am able to see the second pc.

Now it doesnt work anymore.

Can anyone help me?

Forgot to add, the router is a Belkin 802.11g and the usb adapter is Belkin Wireless G as well.

Also, im unable to ping the second pc, it keeps timing out.

Are both machines getting thier IP from the router? If not, are they both on the same subnet? It would probably be easiest to manually configure the IP addresses for each device.

If you want them to show up under Network Neighborhood, make sure they are both set to the same Workgroup. Other than that, check their Ip addresses and make sure they are both set to DHCP (Obtain Automatically) and are similar except for the last number. If they are, then it should work. Can you ping from PC2 to PC1 and just not from PC1 to PC2 or can neither ping the other?

Also deso the internet work fine for both and just the internal transferring doesn't work?
