my router is set and im using it right now, but was wondering if i can hook up my epson stylus cx9400fax to the usb port behind the router, will this work with all its functions?

I had the same router with a epson cx8400 and it did work fine for just printing. I don't think there are many devices out there that let you share the scanner and other functions.

I can't speak about the WL-500GP, but the WL-520GU can allow for sharing of MFP functions like scanning. It creates a virtual USB port on your computer, but it didn't work reliably for me. The stock Asus firmware was so bad, I had to put DD-WRT on it to get it working reliably. I lose out on the MFP capabilities that way though.

Asus has a compatibility list, but I don't see your printer tested.
