So I was driving along the other night, and I see a cop up ahead with flashing lights. As I get closer, I can see that its a lot of cops, and they are all on the left lane of the highway and in the median.
I slow down like any good rubbernecker should, just in time to see a small white car parked there, with a cop standing on the left side of the car, gun drawn, pointed at the driver.

Thats about all I saw, but I thought it was cool. Just like on TV!

There wasn't much traffic, no one immediately behind me, so I wasn't slowing down traffic.

Sorry. But its just a pet peeve of mine. I have to drive home 32 miles one way during rush hour traffic every day.

I guess that wasn't a routine traffic stop.

Well, that, and you can always point out the fact that some states have laws on the books now, that force you to slow down when passing an emergency vehicle stopped on the side of the road. So the OP could say he was just making life safer for the cops. ;)
