With which MP3 player can you have sub playlists?

I like iTunes for organizing my MP3s but I have one problem with it: sub plalylists. Now I'm looking for a replacement with about the same features PLUS sub playlists. I'd like to organize my music like this:

-Soul
------- Marvin Gaye
------- Aretha Franklin

-Rock
------- Deep Purple
------- Guns'n'Roses
------- Pink Floyd

Is anyone aware of such a software?

Thanks in advance!

Zinf will do what you want.

Although I am not sure if it's exactly what you want....

It'll automaticly scan your computer for songs (or specific directories) and then arrange them according to artist, album, genre, placement of songs in the album then you can create playlists out of playlists and do filters and stuff like that. I think it's suppose to have a fairly advanced playlist manager, but seeing how I never used Itunes and only use Zinf, I can only go off of what I've read elsewere.

It's Free and free. Linux and Windows versions.

Should do what you want, I beleive.

winamp 5 can do it with the JUMP feature it implemented. I only use it if I want to play a few songs in a row within my existing playlist - I wouuld then queue those within the playlist and it will play it in order. I don't know how extensive you need it to be or how far it will go beyond that.

hhmmm, I tried it but it didn't do what I want. It's so weird, I can't be the only one with that "need" ;) Tried Windows Media Player 10, whatta big mess.

It's actually pretty simple, I just want a structure like a normal "C:" tree with subfolders, etc.

I think iTunes can do what you want actually. If you create a smart playlist and sort it by genre or another other field you can make some good mixes.

Last night for example, I created a playlist containing 25 random songs in the genre, rock.

I could use a Smart Playlist and I could sort it by genre, but then, that would just be one big mess in that playlist.
