Not saying that you're directing the statement towards me, but I too predicted that it would sell.

AWD + more powerful engine + abundant standard equipment + hi-tech + TONS of advertisement > bland styling + high price

When's the last time you saw an ad for the outgoing RL?

Regardless, the new RL is better than the old in almost every objective category so I don't see why it wouldn't sell better than the old.

What are the numbers for the 5 series and E class last month?

It's not hard to raise sales when the old model only sold 500 copies in one month.

I like everything about the new RL except for the Accord looking nose and the top shelf pricing.

i love the acuras, but remember that this is a new model. more likely than not you'll get a few booming months followed by more moderate (possible stagnant) level of sales. i think the argument made in the other thread is that acura won't be able to maintain a high level of sales like bmw/mercedes.

look at the TL to see just how long the boom can last. they really hit a winner there.
