With the ABIT IC7 & P4c CPU - Can you TURN ON/OFF Hyper-Threading in BIOS?

I ask, as I would like to see what kind of difference HT really has an appreciable effect on my next system I plan on putting together. I think I'm going to get the ABIT IC7 & a P4c 2.4Ghz CPU with HT & 800Mhz; and 512 or 1Gb ram.

I really use my PC now for:

1. Internet
2. On-line Video and File sharing
3. Digital Audio/MP3 editing creating/Burning CD?s
4. Editing Pictures
5. Gaming.

But what COMMON, current apps that I would use daily where I would notice a difference with HT being turned on to make them go faster?

Anyone with any thoughts on this? Thanks

You might as well just leave it on. It won't give you an appreciable performance loss anymore if you leave it on. Read Anand's last article about HT. </BLOCKQUOTE>
