I would highly advise loading the 4.32 VIA driver set, the current VIA drivers are now better than the ones from Microsoft under Win98. The only VIA item that is not needed is the AGP driver which is from AMD (4.80 currently).

You should install the Via drivers, especially under Win98. However, do not install the Via AGP Miniport driver. You need the AMD Miniport driver, which is available off of the Epox CD. You should install the rest of the 4-in-1s: the Via IDE Busmaster Driver (needed for DMA), the Via IRQ Routing Driver, and the Via USB Filter Driver.

Good luck!

Curious, what happens if I install the via agp drivers on my Epox? What happens? Does it just not perform as well? Also what is the best way to determine what AGP driver I have installed?

Thanks!

As I understand it, you would just see a drop in performance...altho I have no idea, as I haven't tried it.

To determine what AGP driver you have installed, go to the Device Manager. Look under System Devices for something with 'AGP' in the name. The AMD AGP driver shows up as AMD-761 Processor-to-AGP Controller. Not sure about what the VIA shows up as.
