News With rollout of 21H2, Microsoft moves Windows 10 to annual updates

If they're still doing regular "feature updates" to Win10, then the Win11 upgrade, what with it's UI changes, and new incompatibilities, doesn't seem worth it.

Is Win10 21H2 fully-compatible with Alder Lake now? Or must one move to Win11 for that?

It seems like, at least for now, that Thread Director will be sub-par to Win 11's built in functionality. This will really affect laptops more than desktops as I understand it. But, other issues, like breaking older games, etc., may just be a permanent fixture for older software.

Pretty sure they will eventually update the Win 10 scheduler to be fully compatible with Alder Lake .... it will cost M$ a lot of potential sales if they don't.

After the Ryzen patch a lot of stuff runs slightly faster on 11 with AMD chips too so lets hope for sooner rather than later!
